Memories

More than anything i'm realizing that a wedding is not about how much people are impressed or remember yours.  It's the little things that YOU will remember.  A sure way to do is this to have things at your wedding that you already love or things that remind you of why you love your sweetheart.  Another idea is to incorporate some item that has been handed down to you (maybe something used at your parents' wedding) or that you will hand down to your daughter.  Richelle and Marie, I just want to tell you how much I love love love you guys, when I think of choice spirits, I think of yours.  I hope that your reception is special and memorable to you but most of all I hope you remember how you feel in the temple when you are sealed for time and all eternity with the one you love most.  Its truly celestial.

I came across this idea that incorporated this girl's growing up and her maternal influences:

"Our mothers and grandmothers each baked a cake that we grew up eating to collectively make our "wedding cake" - we had my mom's pistachio cake, his mom's rum cake, my grandmother's lemon cake, and his Nani's german chocolate cake. We back-filled with sheet cake from Mim's Bakery in Chico. "
